The Alsagoff Family

The Alsagoff family became influential by marrying into a royal family from the Celebes (present-day Sulawesi, Indonesia). They acquired many properties including the “Perseverance Estate”, which is now considered to be the heart of the Muslim community in Singapore, with the Alsagoff family still retaining its prominence there. Among prominent institutions established by the Alsagoff family that are still here till today include Madrasah Alsagoff Al-Arabiah.
